Picaboo has a wonderful deal on for new customers. Get a large 20-page photo book for free! My first Picaboo photo book is still in the works, but here's what I've found so far...
- you will need to download some software. For me this is worth it, as it allows you to work on the book on your own computer, without having to go through the painstaking process of uploading photos to the web to use in your book.
- plan ahead - if you want an average of 2 - 3 pictures per page, then pick about 40 - 50 photos. If you go through your photos and randomly pick, you may end up with too many pages (which then starts to cost extra money).
- you will still need to pay shipping, which for me (in Canada) works out to about $10 - still not bad for a large 20-page photo book
- I got over-eager and laid out my storyline and then tried to preview. A better approach is to lay out the storyline and then click "finished" to move on to the editing page (which allows one to adjust the photos, write captions and change the background) before clicking "preview". I kept getting frustrated thinking that the program wasn't saving my work, when in fact I was "previewing" too soon.
- if you end up with too many pages (like me), using the code at checkout will subtract the cost of a 20-page book (about $30) from your total.
To take advantage of this offer, go HERE and enter your email address. You will be emailed a coupon code to use at checkout. Offer ends August 31st.
Happy photobooking!
thanks!
