Cedar Valley Publishing - Review

I recently won some books from the Let's Get Ready series by Cedar Valley Publishing. As an aspiring teacher myself, I have been working with my girls for some time on their kindergarten readiness skills: letter recognition, shapes, colours and memorizing our phone number in particular. I am absolutely delighted with these books.

We have been working from Let's Get Ready for Kindergarten! which is part of the Let's Get Ready series. Although my girls are still only 2.5, there is quite a bit in the book that they can work on. At the same time, there are skills that are too advanced for them, so we will be able to use these books for a long time.

The Let's Get Ready series uses bright, clear illustrations that are engaging for children. My girls enjoy identifying the objects, shapes, colours, letter and numbers on each page. Our favourite page is the one with an illustration of a telephone as my girls enjoy pushing the pretend buttons while they practice our phone number.
